I FINALLY cracked my 8 week plateau..YES 8 weeks!!!

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Just wanted to share my excitement on another small milestone of mine. I have been battling 3 pounds up and down for 2 months  and the scale FINALLY moved..in a BIG way!

I have lost 6lbs this week and I am just beyond thrilled! I also dropped an entire size! Best of all I can totally tell in my face, and EVERY SINGLE PERSON I work with has commented on my weight loss today!

This work is hard, and you do plateau and gain, but in the end, it WORKS!! Thanks for listening! Onward! :crying:

Woohooo!! Me, too. I was on a seven week plateau. Just lost about 8 pounds (including 4 I had gained), so I'm back on the losing side!!

Yay us!

Awesome news thanks for sharing! Keep up the good work.. By the way are you doing anything out of the norm that you might share with those who do get stuck!

Have you also had a fill?

Thanks so much! Yes I did get a fill, but it was only 1cc to bring me to a total of 2cc's; I really think it is my sweet spot.

One thing I've been doing that I REALLY like is Slimquick. I tried the drink powders and they were ok and seemed to work so I switched to the capsules. They keep my hormones in check and help with Water retention. Other than that, I'm doing the same I've always done..just finally lost some weight.

Good luck to all!!!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
