Yenny1605 0 Posted July 26, 2009 I have a low bmi and was just wondering how much weight people lost during their pre-op diet on average with a low bmi??
SuzanneG 1 Posted July 27, 2009 I was right at 37 BMI, did a 10-day preop diet of 2 protien drinks a day and 1 lean and green meal. I lost 11 pounds.
justiceaim1 0 Posted July 28, 2009 My BMI was 41 and I lost 11 pounds on my 14 day pre-op diet. It's been three weeks since surgery as of today and I've lost a total of 20 pounds including the pre-op diet weight loss.
tessiekay 0 Posted August 3, 2009 My BMI was barely 35 when I started the process in March. I was approved mid-April, and by my surgery date 7/1/09 I was down 30 lbs. I've lost 12 more since surgery (4.5 weeks). I don't even see the surgeon for post-op check and to discuss a fill until 8/14. At this point just 4 1/2 weeks post op I'm so happy to be at least halfway to goal and well into "one-derland". The weight loss is definitely slowing now, so I'm quite sure the next half isn't going to be as easy. I'm looking forward now to really start working with this tool. Yenny1605 0 Posted August 7, 2009 Thanks! You all have been alot of help. I start my pre-op on Monday and I'm pretty nervous about it, my brother had the surgery done about 3 years ago and said the pre-op diet was the hardest part! :/
