How many use Frozen Dinners like SmartOnes... on a regular basis? I'm thinking the portions are just about right. Trying to get lunch ideas for work.

I'm a vegetarian and the hubs is not. I work full-time and go to college full-time. We probably eat frozen dinners 3 nights a week because I'm either to tired to cook or just don't have the time.

Healthy Choice and Lean Cuisine now have low-sodium and low-fat options. And lucky for me, both are now making vegetarian dinners. Of course, hubs wants meat in his, lol.

I'd suggest that you read the labels for sodium, calories, fat (including saturated fat), sugar and Fiber. I've picked up some that look good and healthy. But, when I looked at the nutrition thing on the box it became clear that what looked good was practically a frozen 'heart attack in a box.'

If you like butternut squash, try Lean Cuisine's Butternut Squash ravioli. It's one of my favorites.

I use frozen dinners but don't fret over whether they are "diet" or not. Just get the ones we want. Although usually I do a more atkins-esque diet and those just don't fill the bill.

I have lots of frozen dinners and they range from "diet" ones to regular meals. The portion sizes are perfect for me right now. I also have some of those heat and eat Pasta meals with the sauce too! Yum!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
