lovecats85 2 Posted September 25, 2005 I have my surgery on Friday whoo hoo! I am on a liquid diet 1 week pre-op and 1 week post-op and then 2 weeks of mushies. It says "creamy Soups, Protein Shakes, jello" are all part of liquid diet. So, is it ok if I mix 1 scoop of sugar free fat free ice cream and skim milk into my Protein shakes? I fail to see the difference b/w liquid and food if things like milk and Jello and Soup are "liquids"!!! I just want to make sure I'm doing everything right. lovecats85 2 Posted September 26, 2005 Teresa - Thanks for that list - I did read that. But what I was referring to is the list my doctor gave me. It just makes no sense to me why some things are "liquids" and others are "food", but I will stick to the list! Yesterday I was SO SO hungy that I ate a small salad so I cheated a little but I remembers what you all said which is if you have to cheat pre-op make sure it's small and lowfat.
