Im sad and frustrated

Recommended Posts

How are my fellow March 09 Patients? Sad nothing has changed since my last post. Its been 2 years since my last fill. However i have only gained 2lbs since then. But i never reached my goal weight. I am still at 187/186... I fell off the wagon... I couldn't afford to get fills anymore. it was just a bad time. But since i lost my job,, i have nothing but time and decided to focus back on me and my goal 130lbs... i went to get a fill,,,, and low and behold i was too tight... explains the reguritations, hrtburn, pain and no weight loss( plus bad food choices). But i didn't start these issues until after i had my hysterectomy... in which unbeknownst to me... i was supposed to have my Fluid extracted for unrelated surgeries..oopps.. but oh well... moving forward.. i am on a liquid diet for 3 days , today is day 3--- looking forward to soft foods tomorrow...and kinda scared to have solids again... and thats bc when i went for my fill, in the xray, you could see the sausage still stuck.. and believe me i felt it.. i had eatn it 21/2 hours before my visit.. So no more sausage for me.... No more excuses. i have all day to put in at least 30 mintues of exercises.. and i am gonna try to get out there and cut the grass and do more yard work. I need to be more active. i just need motiviation.. hopefully this visit i had and my true results video is pushing me that way... I want it .. i really want it... Thanks for listening have a grt day.

Today is my 4 yr bandiversary and I am depressed. I started at 225 and got down to about 180 but now am back at 190. I haven't had a fill in three years but have recently been having more and more reflux. I am thinking about having a revision to the duodenal switch because I seem to have no metabolism. I work out at Curves three or four times a week and also do a two hour Tai Chi class once a week. I still struggle with strong sweet food cravings in the pm. I went crazy over the holidays and gained six lbs....Back to the guilt and still holding on to those six lbs. How are you other March 2009 bandsters doing?

I am struggling too ---- I went from 300 to 210 and then had trouble as when I had a bad sinus infection the phlegm was making me so tight I couldnt eat...so I had to be unfilled for a month (& gained weight)then when I got refilled a few weeks later I could tell it was too tight & had to have some taken out. Now I am back to 225 & frustrated with myself -- am probably too tight as I have all those signs, but no money to go back for an unfill.....its not a fun place to be, for sure!

My bandiversary is on 3/18 and I'm happy. I've passed my goal weight and I now weigh 125 pounds and I'm continuing to lose. My mom has been so impressed by my results that she got banded last week. Don't give up ladies!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
