chest pains 9 days out

I had surgery nine days ago and I am having awful chest pains that feel like a sharp stab. From what I've read these are gas pains, but everyone keeps saying their gas pains are relieved the first few days after surgery. I discussed this with my Dr. and he ordered a chest xray, which was clear. He called in a prescription for meds. to help with gas. Gas X helps a little but I can still feel a constant stab. Has anybody else had gas pain this far out from surgery?:thumbup:

I am 8 days post op and I am still having those pains. I cant stand them...come and go like a wave. I thought all the gas pain would be gone by now and I am hoping this resolves soon. It happens everytime I get up from a laying or sitting position and then sometimes just out of the blue. I feel your pain!:thumbup:

Sorry to hear you are having these too. At least we're not alone in this. I thought I was the only one lol
