The very best protein powder I ever tasted.

Recommended Posts

I did try way to many of these things and I found that the best one was from GNC 100% whey Protein Powder. I use it with skim milk as it really does not taste the same or mix the same with Water. Oh and they mix really frothy if you do it in a blender or I use my majic bullet which takes like 2 seconds to mix.

I also purchased an emersion hand held blender for the food blending. Great tools make my life easier.

This comes in various flavors and the best is chocolate and then the banana Cream. vanilla is good because you can add flavored extracts to it, adds a different flavor without calories.

Right now GNC has it on sale for like $10.99 a bag and they last a while. Great source of Protein and not too bad on the calorie count either.

Just thought I would pass this along

Thanks for the info. I haven't tried that brand yet, but I'm planning on going to GNC tomorrow anyway. I will pick some up and give it a try.

Another good one - Gold Standard 100% Whey Protein powder in Double Rich chocolate. I mix it with Lite Vanilla Soy Milk and it tastes like super-rich chocolate milk - yummy! You can also get this at GNC, but I usually buy it online and save a few bucks.

GNC's 100% Whey powder was the first I tried, and it is good. However, they also have "Wheybolic Extreme 60" which absorbs better and has less calories and carbs per scoop. They taste the same and it is a little more pricey, but they usually have "buy one, get one half off" deals, and you can save an extra 20% the first week of the month if you have a GNC discount card. Just my two cents...

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
