Congratulations on a job well done!!! May we all have the same wonderful results

Thanks! I hope everyone has the same results, too!

That's awesome! I'm so excited for you!

Thanks a lot!

I am being banded in the morning.Your post made me smile.I am looking forward to getting into old clothes as much as buying new, smaller sizes.Congrats!!

Thanks! Good luck with your recovery. I had a tough first few weeks but I would have the surgery again in a heartbeat!

Awesome!!!!

Sounds like "Mom Jeans" ..haha!

Hey... I'd be happy to wear "grandma jeans" if I could wear a size 13!!

Too funny! Thanks!:D

I am so happy for you!! I cant imagine how good you feel. I hope my day is coming, I was banded July 2, 09 and have lost 25 pounds as of today. Congrats I know you are sooo excited, and thanks for sharing, i needed a pick me up.

Congrats on your weight loss! 25 lbs in three weeks is incredible!

Congratulations!! So awesome

Thanks!!

Last night I went to Sears to find a new bra...not a pleasant experience to say the least. Anyway, I tried on an awesome pair of Lands End jeans. A size 12 fit!!!! Woo hoo!!! The only downside was the jeans cost $60. I refuse to spend that kind of money on clothes until I'm at my goal, no matter how good they make my butt look! :)

A few weeks ago, I found a pair of pants that I bought for a business trip to Chicago back in 1986. I remembered buying them. That was the LAST year that they fit.

I tried them on recently, and they were WAY TOO BIG. amazing.

Interesting to see the very subtle changes in fashion in the last 23 years. They were nice pants, but they looked just so...."80's"!

Congratulatons I can't imagine how good that feels!

I have the dress I wore on NYE 1999 (juniors size M) hanging up in my bedroom. I look at it every day and it reminds me why I'm doing this. My goal is to wear it this NYE 10 years later!! It's still a cute "little" black dress! I was just banded yesterday so I have a long road in front of me!!

Congrats! Wanna feel even better about it? I just read an article that said that American clothes makers have been making the clothes bigger as we grow as a population. As nation gains, 'overweight' is relative - CNN.com

I knew that when I was 139 pounds, for 5 minutes 10 years ago, I was squeezing into a size 8. Now I'm 147-150 and I'm squeezing into a size 6. WTH?

As for those Lands End jeans, I had the same problem with not wanting to spend a lot on clothes while I was losing. If you have a Ross in your area, they have a lot of name brand jeans/clothes for very reasonable prices. I have gotten a lot of Liz Claiborne, Jones New York, and many many others there. DH said I shop all the time now. I would say "I'm celebrating my weight loss" and he would say "You're always celebrating!". ha ha

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
