No, it's not a new radio station. I finally broke the 200 barrier after hovering between 203 and 200 for about month. I switched up my exercise. I think that helped plus I also did mostly liquids yesterday because of a bad stuck/PB episode the day before. Now, if I can only maintain it this weekend!!! This journey has been alot slower than I thought it would be but, hopefully, it means I will keep it off this time.

Congratulations. Welcome to Onederland!

I can remember hitting 199 for the first time. I had alot of happy tears that morning. Also, I had kept my weight a secret before then. When I told my Daughter that I was under 200 she said "Mom, I'm so glad I don't have to worry about your weight problem anymore. I'm so proud of you." I didn't realize that she was worrying about me.

Continued success to you to obtain your weight goal.

I love my band and my new flat tummy!

Sue

Oh Congratulations!!!!!!! I cant wait until that happens to me! I'm so happy for you  I know exactly how you feel. I havent been under 200 since 1993. I tried so hard on diets before & the closest I got in the past was 203 and I couldnt get below that. Now I'm 207 & just had my first fill so Im looking forward to that 199... I'm pretty sure I will cry too.

Congrats, congrats :cursing:

Carbgrl,

Congratulations! I too cried when I reached Onederland...especially since I knew that I now have a tool to help me not gain the weight back as I have so many times before.

Now, I am tackling 10 lbs. at a time and gosh does it take a lot of adjusting and readjusting my caloric intake and exercise to break those plateaus!

Keep up the good work! Thanks for sharing:)

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
