Friday Weigh-in: July 17

Recommended Posts

Well, I'm not really excited about starting this today, but here goes.

Last week: 222.8

This week: 223.8

Gained 1 pound.

Not really sure why. I did eat out twice this week, but my net calorie count was about the same as the past few weeks. My muscles are a bit sore from making some changes to my workout this week, and I remember being told once that that can make you weigh more. lol Grasping at straws here! I also haven't been getting enough sleep this week due to crazy work hours....there's that link between poor sleep and weight, right???

Anyway, not going to let it worry me. My goal is to be at 80 pounds lost on my surgeon's scale on my appt August 5 - 1 day after my bandiversary. I'm already there on my scale, but that's naked. Not gonna get nakey at the dr's office!

I lost .5lbs in 2 weeks. I can not complain. Sitting in meetings and snacking on goodies will do that. Have a great weekend everyone.:scared2:

Hey y'all!

Gained .2 this week. I ate trail mix right before bed last night, so except for that, probably would've stayed the same or down the .1 I was yesterday.

I'm really okay with this. I have a fill appt next Thursday for a fill I really needed last month and had to cancel so the fact that I've lost a little and am now staying pretty much the same, I'm happy with. Before surgery? Would never have happened like this!

Have a great week everyone!!

Hi!

I'm figuring you were talking to me. If you'll re-read my post you'll see that I am fine with this very slight gain. It's only .2. Nothing to have a fit over certainly! I'm pretty wide open right now b/c I do need a fill and I feel I'm doing great in spite of it.

Thanks for the encouragement.

Congratulations on your loss! Best wishes to you in your journey!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
