goopy in your lungs after surgery anyone?

Recommended Posts

I had surgery yesterday and today I woke up hacking (which believe me doesnt feel good at all in my current state). I wasnt feeling sick at all when I went in for surgery yesterday. Im wondering if this is just a side effect from the anastesia when they put the tube down my throat and pumped air into my lungs. Or maybe Im getting sick? I really really really really really hope Im not getting sick. Anyone else get phlemmy after surgery?:scared2:

My band recently slipped and when I went in to fix it I woke up like this and was coughing up mucus for a few days. Not sure what causes it...

I also had some weird coughing after my surgery. I remember being worried because it hurt like crazy, and I was afraid I would do something to hurt it! It wasn't a real mucousy cough though... more of a dry cough/tickle in the throat. It went away after a few days.

Good luck!

Yep, just wanted to let you know that this went away after a few days. It must have had something to do with the air they pumped in my lungs with the tube while in surgery. It was a little irritating because it hurt to cough, plus I was worried I was getting sick and that was the last thing I wanted to deal with while recovering. But yeah it totally went away after two days as suddenly as it came. I am four days post op and feel great. =)

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
