kmays234 0 Posted July 14, 2009 I was banded on 6/25. My port is on my right side about a hand width away from my sternum. The first week I slept sitting up then started sleeping sort of on my side laying down. I had been sleeping on my stomach for about a week now. Now for the question. Today it hurts if I lay down its not a sharp pain more of a dull ache and almost a pulling (yes i know its sewn into my muscle). Its gotten so its actually uncomfortable to lay down. Could this be a port that is trying to flip? Any advice would be welcomed. Thanks.
Jodi_620 37 Posted July 14, 2009 I would say it is just still healing. It got easier every day, but it took a full two months before my port discomfort was gone. You are going to feel a lot of pains and weird sensation during this period don't worry yourself too much.
reneek 1 Posted July 14, 2009 I still sometimes have some aches from it if i turn the wrong way. I sleep on my stomach also and sometimes when i get up in the morning my port is a little tender, but it never hurts to ask your doctor.
