Jul 0 Posted July 7, 2009 This thread is for anyone who needs to rant. It is also for anyone who wants to give advice on succeeding this rotton up and down battle with trying to lose what feels like a million pounds when the damn scale won't budge! I think I have the right to rant because I am sick of getting up at 5:00 am everyday to work out when obviously I'd rather be sleeping. Ok so my diet isn't always perfect. I'm not a perfect person!!! With all the working out I do and eating healthy most of the time, shouldn't that count for something?!!! But I get on the scale, It starts to move the right direction and then a few days later, guess what? I gain back a couple pounds or so! Some days I feel like giving up. I feel like I'm barley hanging on. I'm sure there are others who have had the same experience. If so and you've overcome it please share your story. Even if you never had this problem and was successful or just have words of encouragement please share. I'm feeling desparate! Please Help!!!!:frown::sad::)
luluc 6 Posted July 7, 2009 i can definitely relate & understand. *get a tape measure and start taking your measurements *change up food choices/calories - ie: one day eat 1100 calories the next 1300; play around *change up exercise routines, try a different type of cardio *put the scale away for a while *don't give up exercise - it's great for your mental health too i found when i did the same old same old - the scale did the same. RestlessMonkey 7 Posted July 7, 2009 Also if you aren't, add in some resistance or strength training. Muscle uses energy and food, fat just stores it.
Jul 0 Posted July 9, 2009 Thanks for the advice. I am changing a lot of foods that I eat. I'm getting a bigger variety and trying to make healthier choices, at least majority of the time. Plus on some of the other treads I noticed some people said they got better results if they had something to eat within the first hour they wake up. so I'm trying that as well. I did start a new work out. I ordered the kettlenetics work out system, boy was I sore the first few days!!! I'm working muscles I didn't know I had. And before the kettlenetics I was working out an hour a day and doing resistance training, so that tells you how different this system is. Hopfully I'll have a good jump soon.
