I finally have restiction!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Recommended Posts

I had the best fill today and I do mean the best.

Dr. Stephanie Eijsink did my fill today and for the first time in 3 months I felt and still feel restriction. I lost some weight, but most of it was from restricting myself and exercising, not the band. I finally went to see her cause I heard nothing, but good things about her. I've read about other people and their restrictions and never had a chance to feel it for myself. Not to mention, I had 3 fills prior to finally going to visit her.

I actually weighted in at 213 this morning and weighted in at 211.5 before going to bed. I've been drinking my liquids today as she said and has had no desire for food. I can go on and on.

If you feel like your spinning your wheels with your current fill doctor like I was, you might want to give her a call.

She put 2.5cc i have a 4cc band. I had 3 fills prior to going to see her and the other doctor said I was at 2.2, not she only pulled .6 out of me. That is far from 2.2, so her 2.5 added to my .6 that she put back put me at 3.1.

I feel wonderful to finally tool functioning.

I have a 10cc band with a 3cc fill. I have no restriction. I can't wait until I get there. When were you banded and have you lost weight?

I was banded April 4, 2009 and yes I have lost some weight most was from my own hard work (measuring my food and exercising).

I had my band filled today for the second time. My FNP put in 2.5cc into my 10cc band. I had to have her remove .5cc because I couldn't get Water to go down. I have a total of 4cc in my band now. I like you started at 213 today at fill time and 212 before bed. I finally have restriction with this fill.

I went for a second fill on yesterday and the NP only gave me 0.5 cc for a total of 3.5ccs. I still do not have any restriction. I'm glad I can go back every 2 weeks. Maybe another half or a whole cc will get me there.

I can understand the excitement! I had my third fill since my surgery (Jan 12, 09) this week and it feels like a miracle! This is what everyone is talking about. I hope it last. Next step is getting the weight loss to feel so good that I don't miss food (shopping, cooking, etc).

I wake up tight and cannot eat more than 3 oz. of yogurt. I can't believe I'm doing ok on that for hours. Hope it continues. Good luck to you as well!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
