Hey guys,

Just curious if anyone out there wears under armour compression shirts under their shirts to keep everything appearing firmer?

This thread made me curious so I stopped by Dick's

Sporting Goods today and looked at them not sure how much the shirt would push the lumps in. The sleeveless were 24.99 and the long sleeve were 34.99 they didn't have short sleeve. Cheaper than slimming shirts I've seen advertised on TV.

I had picked up one or two from TJ Maxx I think... spending $35 bucks on an undershirt just seems wrong to me. It fit snug for a week or two but I lost pretty fast so beyond that it fit like a regular undershirt.

I skipped it going forward... an now sort of at the maintence phase I am not sure it would have done anything anyway.

Plus wearing it I couldn't help but think of the Seinfield with the BRO.

I got this compression garment:

Design Veronique -- Non-Zippered Abdominal Garment

I haven't used it yet since I just got banded, but I hope it helps.

OK I checked out the link and have to ask what's going on with the family jewels in this garment, something about this looks so wrong.

It has an opening in the crotch so your junk does not get squished.

I just looked at the link as well... the junk section does look a little odd.

Also, clearly the model does not need to be wearing this garment. I would have been more inclined to order it if the picture showed a heavier guy without the garment on, and then the difference with it on.

I was luck and my skin retained its elasticity. I am down 119 pounds and just have some excess around the love handle section, but it seems like targeted exercise is helping that.

I have 3 shirts. I call them "manspanx" I got the website from this forum. They are GREAT. I'll do some digging...

Found it the site is www.underworks.com and I bought a crew neck, V neck and tank. over a year ago and I wear them almost daily and just machine wash and dry.

Still as compress-y as the day I bought them.

I actually came back to lok up where I got mine from because I need smaller sizes and coulf not remember the site.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
