saffy255 0 Posted July 3, 2009 Hi I was banded June 2009, and have heard some stories of people saying they were advised not to fly after being banded... Others say that they felt really uncomfortable after flying... I fly to the USA a few times a year (I'm in the UK) and wonder what I can exepect????
*susan* 1,709 Posted July 3, 2009 I don't see any reason why you can't fly after banding. Some people have reported that it does cause their band to become extremely tight. I flew a couple of times with mine and never noticed any difference.
Petalpusher 1 Posted July 3, 2009 I asked my doctor about this, and he says it mostly affects the newly banded people. He says there could possibly be an air bubble in the band before you have several fills and the altitude could make the air expand, therefore tightening the band. It also affects you in high altitudes, such as Colorado.
