Hey guys! I am 2.5 weeks post-op and in the mushy stage. I am completely healed and have full appetite back and feel no restriction (obviously), but my surgeon said my first fill will be 6 weeks post-op so another 4 more weeks. I dont know if I can go that long. I mean I feel so normal like nothning took place. I mean I get full fast and it lasts long, but I can eat basically anything and feel fine.

When did you get your first fill??

I got mine today. I'm 3 weeks post-op. I wasn't expecting a fill, so it was a nice surprise for me. But I don't go back to see him for another 6 weeks.

I don't get my first fill until August 10. I was banded on 6-24. I am only a week and a day out and am already starving! Oh boy...I hope I can make it!

Mine was supposed to be at five weeks, but since the doctor is going to be out, it will be at 4 weeks. I start soft foods this weekend. I haven't had any problems and since I've been doing nothing but drinking stuff, I don't get full. I do burp a lot, but that's not new.

Hi folks

I am almost 4 weeks out, and until last week, I was getting full very quick and was on musy food still etc I was getting hungrier and hungrier, and suffered a night with PB's but everything has been fine.

I'm now on solids, and I'm ravenous!!! I could eat a horse!!! I realise this is prob cos my swelling has gone down...

I am DESPERATE to be filled, but I don't get filled til 21st July.... is this normal then???

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
