Hi, I am a new bandster. My surgery was 6/19/09 and I am feeling pretty good. I am glad all the insurance nonsense, tests, and surgery are behind me now.

are you on solids yet? I started pureed foods today. did well so far.

No solids yet! I get to start in a week--I'm looking forward to a small slice of really thin crust pizza I'd like to complain, but I think that my surgeon's post-op diet is a lot easier than others. I was on Clear liquids for the first 48 hours, full liquids for the next five days, and mushies for two weeks.

When will you be able to start solids?

supposed to be Clear Liquids x2 weeks, full liquids x2 weeks, then mushies/puree but I was doing so well he moved me up to mushies early. So far I am tolerating it but have to go really slow or I get so stuffed I'm really uncomfortable on just alittle tiny amt.
