Bad dream!

Recommended Posts

Oh man oh man - I am sooo freaked out. I have a good sixth sense or intuition and often try to maintain in touch with my spirtual self. I had a dream I was at my dr's office and he told me he'd half to remove my band because of erosion!!!!!!!!! I am sitting here just thinking this is something that's going to happen in a year or two........yes I know it was a dream, but it still has me worried :)

I'd say that the essence of your dream is that you feel having the band is "too good to be true" and thus someone will try to take it away from you. This feels to me less about reality and more about what is going on in that noggin of yours. Fear is a powerful force. And I know having a band can be scary. There are a LOT of emotions that will come up as you lose weight. Go into them, feel them to be able to release them.

And if you spend time worrying about your band eroding, you are giving energy to that thought and could manifest it into form. Think instead about how happy and healthy your band is and how wonderful you feel!

Be easy on yourself...this is a marathon, not a sprint.

Thank you. Your right. I've been worried about saggy skin afterwards, but I've been reading the Kevin Trudeau "Natural Cures They Don't want you to know" and he was talking about the power of positve thoughts can heal. Sooo I've been starting to rub my belly everyday in the mirror and say I will have a sexy new body. I will not have excess skin. I will add something about my band working in perfect condition. I totallly believe in the power of positive thinking. Thank you for bringing me back down :)

candy, I don't know if you're religious or not, but if you are, maybe you could pray about it. I agree with Karen here about the dream, but I found confirmation about getting the band through prayer.

Yes I am a religious person. And oddly enough I didn't think about "praying" over a dream. I will have to add that to my morning regimen. Positive thinking and prayer. Can't go wrong. Thanks for the support.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
