I have my surgery on July 15th. I have that first month all planned out pretty much until I know what foods i can eat. But after that, does anyone have any sample food plans they have done that have been working. I know its different for everyone but to seem some would be great. I would love to plan Sunday nights what I will have for the week to help with time and everything/ Thanks! The big change feeling is starting to kick in

I start almost every day out with a Protein shake since I tend to be tighter in the mornings and wasn't much of a Breakfast eater anyway. For lunch, I may do a Lean Cuisine, Smart Ones, or Healthy Choice entree. Or just leftovers from the night before. Sometimes it's just a greek yogurt with homemade trail mix together (Kashi Go Lean Cereal, raisins, dry roasted peanuts, choc chips). For dinner, some roasted chicken, cottage cheese, and a little fruit. If I need a snack for any reason, a small piece of fruit, homemade trail mix, sf pudding, cottage cheese, wasa crackers with flavored cream cheese, or a few soy chips. I always keep a small snack in case of emergencies in my purse or at work so it's easier to make healthier choices if needed.

You sound like a "planner" which is great! I'm more whimsical when it comes to what I want to eat. You will do great! Good luck and you'll be on your way in no time!

I am a major planner like you and I have tried various meal plans, websites, etc. I got a great journal at Borders (or Barnes) called DietMinder. I plan out my day as well.

My regular day is Cream of wheat with one packet of equal and a splash of 1/2 and 1/2 and coffee. (I'm pretty tight in the AM and so I eat soft) or yogurt and Cereal (Kashi toasted o's or granola)

lunch is 3-ozs of meat, 2-ozs of cheese and either a piece of fruit, some raw veggies or a sugar free chocolate pudding for dessert.

4:30 PM snack-Protein shake (you'll need to experiment to find what kind you like)

Dinner: 3 oz's meat, usually 1/4 cup of some type of Beans and a dab of whatever else my hubby cooked, potatoes rice etc.

I stay up late so in the evening if I get hungry, I'll have sugar free popsicles or Jello, or maybe some string cheese or a piece of fruit.

You'll find with your band there will be days you can eat this way (and then some, so be careful) and there will be days you won't get through half this food. Each day is different and you adjust accordingly.

Drink lots of Water, I haven't reached my sweet spot yet and still get hungry between meals and I find that a very sweet tea (with equal) helps between meals.

Good luck and congrats on starting your journey.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
