Jeane 0 Posted June 28, 2009 (edited) Hi all, I was just introduced to this web site yesterday and am thankful you are all here. I had my lap band surgery 9/29/08 My lap band surgeon is Dr. Michael Trehan at Martha Jefferson hospital in Charlottesville, Va. I lost 41 pounds but have regained about 5 falling into old bad habits. I hope to get a fill in the next week or two. serenity55 15 Posted June 29, 2009 Hi Jeane, Welcome to LBT. I've found lots of support and information here, and I hope you do too. In my humble opinion, it's pretty easy to slip back in to old habits, because we've been doing those longer than we've practiced healthier behavior, not to mention all the emotional reasons for eating, at least for me. There are people here willing to be a buddy, and I've always found those who are willing just to listen and encourage. We have a tool to help us win this battle, which is not something we had before. Keep posting and reading. Sometimes just reading someone else's post helps to keep me going. The best of luck to you. Debbie.
Jeane 0 Posted June 29, 2009 Thanks, Debbie: Yes, I know at age 56 it is pretty impossible to expect to have turned my habits completely around in about 9 months! I do appreciate all of you on here that know what it is like and are so encouraging. Thanks, Jeane
