Regarding fills and being tight then all of a sudden no restriction?

Recommended Posts

I had my fill one week ago

We had ONE CC placed then it was too tight i went the next day and had HALF a CC moved.

I was tight for a whole week and was not able to even eat my pudding.

Yesterday i could eat MEAT!!

So does this happen to you, one minute you are tight the next you are not?

Im sure my band did not slip as i can feel it also i have no complications (Touch Wood) what so ever.

But today morning i was drinking Water and here it was tight again!

I feel like im playing hide and seek with this band

Been banded for a year now and i had this question for a year but decided to post it now :smile2:

I'm experiencing the same thing. This is my 3rd fill. 1st one a little restriction, 2nd nothing and 3rd like a yoyo ride. the 3rd fill has been better but it gets frustrating because one day I get full off 2-3 spoonfuls and the next day I can eat a whole bowl and feel a little restriction. I am losing about 1-2 lbs a week.

I mean, My friends invite me to lunch or dinner or whatever, because they know that now i can eat specific types of food, i go there having to drool because i did not eat all day (im usually not hungry all day) then i grab a first bite, and thats it !!!!!!

Second day i swear i can eat a cow!!!

I think my band is playing tricks on me LOL

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
