LJBravado 0 Posted September 18, 2005 So I'm wondering what things are like 2 months out... I'm sure it's different for everyone, but my husband and I have a trip planned for the 1st / 2nd weeks in December, and I'm getting banded October 1. We'll be scuba diving...and I'm a little worried... just wondered what others' experiences have been like...and any divers out there??? Thanks much, Laura
I'llsucceed 1 Posted September 18, 2005 Yes- I dive. Just make sure you are more than healed with all of the insicions. Which you should be. You will more than likely not be filled by than & should be great. Just make sure you have shakes available while on vacation just incase you get the jitters and I wouldn't over do anything. Most important have someone help you on & off with the tank always. I have heard of no conflicts with being banded & diving. It was one of my first questions prior to being banded, but I have yet to go diving. Have a great time & let me know how things go & if you felt any pressure when going a little deeper. Have fun- I'm jealous;0)
vinesqueen 2 Posted September 18, 2005 Yup, make sure your inscisions are completely healed. Don't expect to be at the same activity level you had before you were banded. EXPECT MORE!!!!! If you are like me, you will have more energy, even after a minimal weight loss.
Parvathi 2 Posted September 18, 2005 I was back to normal, possibly even better than normal, two months out. You'll have a blast Like the others said though, just make sure your incisions are healed up.
