watermelon seeds 0 Posted June 27, 2009 I have to say that I have learned the hard way with eating and not chewing up my food good enough! I actually decided yesterday morning that I was going to eat some chicken that I had bbq'd the day before. It was still nice and tender and I only ate a little bit of a drumstick. I thought I had chewed it up well but as I left home and was driving, I had to pull over and vomit. I have been banded since Sept.8th and I have only thrown up once. I have gotten things stuck two times before and I've never been able to vomit it back up. I really was in bad shape yesterday and eating chicken will not be on my list of things for awhile. lonestar5212 0 Posted June 28, 2009 Yeah, not fun when that happens. I had a painful chicken experience about 4 months ago. It is all about the chewing. We know that, sometimes just get in a hurry, but the band reminds us quickly!!! I have eaten chicken since, this time chewing slowly and completely and have had no issues. watermelon seeds 0 Posted June 29, 2009 Thanks lonestar, I now know that I will be able to eat chicken again, but I will be sure to take my time and chew very well. Right now I am at the point where if anything I think about eating even looks like it can get stuck I choose not to eat that . Yeah, not fun when that happens.
