I don't care: A Michael Jackson Rant

Recommended Posts

We're in the picu and he's resting! The surgery went well! We should be in a regular hospital room tomorrow! YAY!!!!

Holli, I have a newfound respect for you.

Your son was going through this, which must have been a nightmare for you, and you're here yacking about useless crap with the rest of us.

You're a strong woman. I admire that. :)

HH

If I didn't come here and read things and post crazyness I'm pretty sure I would go crazy! That's why when PG called me pathetic I said that she knew what I was going through how could she as a "christian" woman kick me like that when I was down. Some people lol. Anyways, Jack is doing pretty well. Still in a lot of pain. They took his catheter out and his Artery line. They took him off IV fluids and are going to try a normal formula feed all day. We'll see.

Kinda highjacked the thread didn't I lol

It needed hijacking!

I agree with HH 100% - you are strong! :) I just hate seeing children go through stuff like that.

Kids and pets are my weaknesses, and I always try to prevent/help any pain that they're in.

(Everyone else can suck it! lol)

I hear ya! It sucks to see him hurting and stuff especially since he doesn't really understand what's going on or what happened! It breaks my heart!!!

Well, where do you think I got my purple silk pajamas with "PYT" printed on the back? They're very comfy. The only thing is, since they come from the MJ store, the back flap doesn't have a fastener on it.

:):):):lol::)

How? How did I miss this?

I literally have coffee out the nose from this one. WHEN will I learn not to read Plain's posts until after drinking/eating!?

Rod...I am so glad that your son is doing good after the surgery. It's not an easy thing when a little one has surgery. They don't know what is going on and don't know how to tell you what they're feeling. It's not easy when anyone has surgery but a child is a lot harder.:scared2:

In Des Moines, Iowa, MJ will not have his buttery likeness displayed at the Iowa State Fair this summer after an online vote for support of it melted. The fair annually displays sculptors works. Past displays included Elvis, Jesus, Tiger Woods The Last Supper, and always a Cow in there. This years display will Celebrate the 40th anniversary of the moon landing, The voters said no to MJ because they felt his reputation was tarnished by the implications in his personal life. They've been doing butter sculptures since 1911. The fair staff got deluged with complaints after the staff announced plans for a MJ sculpture, and the complaints kept coming (65-35% margin) so they creamed the idea. (pun intended)lol

That's good...I think it's better to move on and stop dwelling on The Jackson's in the news...I was a fan of MJ, but I am tired of all this coverage. My son is home now  Yay...I'm ready to sleep in my own bed...not a hospital chair...or a famous weird guys "special" bed lol  (For you guys)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
