I don't care: A Michael Jackson Rant

Recommended Posts

I had already posted about that. The kid that he paid off just came forward and said his father made him say all those things and that it never happened!

And you believe that but don't believe his first statement. Why? One of the statements has to be a lie but we'll never know which one it is... OTOH, if my kid could describe some adult male's penis mole, then IMO what went on between them was AUTOMATICALLY inappropriate.

Omg, only in california -- the land where they pay out money hand over fist to illegals to the tune of $6 BILLION a year, AND pay for this clown's memorial.

So what would you have the state do? Not provide crowd control? Not block off the streets so everything is even more of a mess? We're really screwed no matter what on this one.

At least by asking for donations, maybe MJ's rabid fans will bear some of the burden instead of it all coming down on the tax payers.

I'm thinking the thing to do was to 1) get the Jackson clan to pay for this beforehand, or 2) not have the circus at all.

I don't know if MJ is innocent or guilty. I lean more guilty. He was accused twice, he was discribed, he paid them off, he likes kids, etc. But, only God and him know for sure. He is surely standing before Him now, and will have to answer for it if he is guilty. [/Quote]

I just wanted to chime in here very quickly. Normally, pg I don't agree with you. This time I do.

No way am I going to allow his stardom and my like for his music interfere with my my morals.

Have a nice day everyone!

I have taken the time to read each of these posts. I am so sorry that so many of you have had such a hard life/childhood. But sometimes that makes us "jaded". Everything in life is not black or white. Do I know if he abused the people he was accused of abusing? no...What I do know is that someone's father, brother, son is dead and will be missed if only by them. I feel very sorry for the people here that have such "strong" opinions about this when they have undoubtly not been provided all of the facts becasue no one was provided all of the facts. Michael Jackson was a musical genius and will be missed if only for that reason. What I pray is for the healing of some of the people on this site. I pray that you are able to get strength from whatever has happened to you. As far as Michael Jackson is concerned, May he rest in peace becasue even HE deserves that. Be blessed and remember "let he without sin cast the first stone".

The people who may find peace with his death are the children that he sexually abused. And of course any future children he was going to abuse.

I don't think they could legally stop the Jacksons from having a memorial service. So then they are stuck.

You may be right, but it doesn't sound very fair to the taxpayers.

While I am against adding even more laws and such to the books, these last few things in CA should push them to add to theirs.

Where I live in NM, they DO charge the family for police escort in funerals, and they charge if you have them closing intersections for the procession.

2 weeks ago my niece passed away, she was "special" and was EXTREMELY involved with the special olympics. There were many police officers attending the services that she had become close to doing runs with them, promoting SO. They (mortuary) told her Mom that there would be a charge for the escort to the cemetary etc. An expense that was deemed unnecessary, we felt we could all get there without the aid of the officers. In the end, several who attended the service did it anyway---and she was not billed...yet! No, I think they did it as their choice because she had become a part of their lives too.

But the point is, it IS commonplace here to charge for that. If you have to have an officer at X amount of locations (like intersections in this instance) then it is going to add X amount of dollars to the service. It would have at least divied the cost up some.

It could be standard, and applied for parades, rallies, whatever YOUR party is planning to interrupt the natural flow of traffic with.

I know with something the size of MJ's funeral, it would have been above and beyond the scope of what LA could have charged----but it would have alleviated at least PART of the cost.

IMHO if they were selling tickets to the services----there should have been a portion of each ticket price allotted to security.

I just cannot believe we (news etc) are STILL talking about him!!!

Maybe CA should add a "celebrity death tax" to their tax legislation.

We (the family) had to pay for the police escort in my grandparents funeral as well.

It seems "normal people" have to pay for stuff like this. Why not bill the estate? Heck, it's growing by leaps and bounds now.

A memorial service is one thing. Friends and family could have attended that. This was a spectacle put on in a sports arena or some such thing, and for that, I believe the estate or family should be billed.

Glouc: I THINK the tickets were free, given out by lottery.

I think there is a time and a place that every person casts judgements, and things that happen in a persons life, is what leads them to speak out about it.

When the OP began this thread, she titled it as a RANT. The title also clearly stated that the OP did not care. With those 2 pieces of information we could all pretty well deduce what the thread was going to entail, and no one was forced to read it.

When things got out of hand, moderators tried to tone it down without shutting it down.

The thread has not always been pleasant, as many of the subjects are not pleasant themselves. Expecting every person to be forgiving and accepting regardless of what they have lived through seems ridiculous.

I have no doubt that I am indeed a judgemental person. Like I say I personally think we ALL are, just our "triggers" may be different.

Reminding us that we need to remember "let he without sin cast the first stone". Is judging in and of itself....again, IMHO.

God love ya Kat, thank you. Its funny how many are so quick to throw out bible quotes while looking down their noses on my opinions/anger/venting.

If they trully practiced what they preach, they'd shut up and pray. We all have stones to throw, I think some just don't know it.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
