Bethh 0 Posted June 23, 2009 I just started using this site yesterday and have found it very comforting. I was banded on March 20 and have only lost about 15 pounds, all of it during the first month. I have lost alot of inches though, through walking, yoga, the Pecor ,weights, walkiong my dog, etc. I exercise often and hard and have dropped several dress sizesand look much thinner. I have just started the 5 day pouch Test. Hopefully, that will help. I think I eat too much though. I'm hungry from all the activity. That's the real reason I am not losing weight!:smile2:
tyhelms 0 Posted June 23, 2009 Have you spoke to your dr about this? Have you had a fill? If so you need to call and schedule another one... Everybody is different. Keep doing what you're doing as far as exercising it'll start back coming off.. and I think the 5 day pouch test is a good idea.. go back on full liquids and see what happens, I had my first fill on the 15th of June, and the dr put me back on liquids, then mushies... The first 4 days of liquids I lost 5 lbs,, but I must admit, I thought I was going to die, becasue I was soooo hungry,, Aw man, I thought I wouldn't make it....you can do it.. don't give up.. I'm on my first full day of mushies, probably want loose any, but don't give up.. Be encouraged you can do it...this website really helps me a lot and encourages me.. Thanks to all the bandsters... TopTier 0 Posted June 23, 2009 Do a search on this forum. There were several topics on the very say issue not long ago. Basically, though, if you are exercising as much as you say, and using weights, it's very probable that you might be losing adipose (fat) tissue and gaining muscle tissue, which weighs more. But that's really a good thing for several reasons, not the least of which being that the more muscle you have the more energy your body uses to simply maintain it. That means you will burn more calories at rest that you did before.
TopTier 0 Posted June 23, 2009 Also, could it be possible that you are drinking liquids with your meals therefore getting hungrier sooner than you should be?
