dedumplinz 0 Posted June 22, 2009 (edited) :sad:i got approved for surgery today. an hour later the doc office called and told me that the doc had to see if the lapband was right for me because of the dumping syndrome that i have. she doent know if the lapband is right for me. i dont under stand i have been having alot of gi problems. has anybody else have that problem. they told me that they go to the meeting first week of july so i have to wait it out. i was so happy about my aprovel now i dont know whats gonna happen. im concerned. help:cursing: Edited June 23, 2009 by dedumplinz Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

TopTier 0 Posted June 23, 2009 No, acid reflux would not necessarily prevent the band placement. In fact, acid reflux can generally indicate a hiatal hernia, which is something MOST (or at least many) surgeons fix when they go in to place the band. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
