terilynn112 1 Posted June 22, 2009 I have before and current photos in my album. I started this journey weighing 270+ (a few pounds), and am now at 229 (again- having gained and lost the last few months). I seriously believe the gains have been Fluid, as I can measure myself any given day and I've lost more. That said.... I started wearing a size 24W, and can now wear anything between a size 16 (no W) and a juniors 18. JUNIORS? I 've never worn juniors sizes. I wore a size 2XL to 3XL shirt, and yesterday I wore, snuggly a size MEDIUM. My waist has gone from a measurement of 48.5 inches, to 39 inches. My hips haven't changed as much, but they've gone from a 53 inch measurement to a 48 3/4. I have posted a photo of me in pants much tighter than I'm comfortable wearing in public, but I got them on, and zipped standing up, without much hassle. They are a womans size 14 capri (orange print). The shirt is a large. I know a lot of the work has been mine, but I think having the lapband is a constant reminder to me, I have to continue working hard. I've only recently gotten some restriction again. Working hard to fine tune it. I can no longer eat plain bread. IF I dunk it in something, like French toast I can still eat it, but I won't be doing that often. I also can not eat oranges. They get stuck EVERY time. Just wanted to drop a line, let ya know where I am, and how I'm doing. Teri
debbieperez55 0 Posted June 29, 2009 Teri, has it been 9 months already. You look MARVELOUS! And taking the pics in front of the same door was a GREAT idea. It really shows your progress, and it helps that the door has lines. I am so happy for you. It seems like everything is coming together for you. You have worked so hard, harder than most, and over come so many obsticles. Don't let the scale run your life. We all have small ups and downs, we are women after all. Hormones, thank god we get to blame those damn hormones. But, you are doing fantastic and you should be so proud of yourself. Our one year anniversary will be here before we know it. Feel good about the accomplishment you have made. You deserve a huge pat on the back! Take care Debbie
