I am so happy, I just have to share. I took some advice from another gal on the site and went to see Joan Richardson in Lewiston, Id. It is a bit of a drive (from Spokane), but it's not bad. I really liked her. I am so excited to find someone who can do my fills for a reasonable price and someone so knowledgeable! Can you believe she only charges $100. a fill??? A-mazing.

Yes, but you have to take a day off, drive a long time, wait for your appointment, drive back to Spokane--basically and entire day, or most of it. Why not go see Dr. Moise here in Spokane? Yes, she charges more, but you can pop in, get your fill, then go back to work or school.

Seems like a fair exchange to me.

Well, since you asked.... I was referred to Vivian Moise for another issue a few years ago. I really felt like she dismissed my concerns and refused to finish the testing for which I was referred. She stated that she didn't think it was necessary. I felt that I was being sent away in pain and experiencing some terrifying symptoms. Well, it was a Friday afternoon, but the pain doesn't take weekends off. In fact, it has progressed for several years and is the principle reason I got the band. I never did get that test done, and now the Rheumatologist is requesting that the very same test be done years later, though she said I didn't need the test. I just hope there is no permanent nerve damage...

This may have been an isolated incident, and perhaps many are happy with her care. I just believe for that kind of pay, one doesn't get a second chance with me. Matter of fact, my health insurance premiums for my family equal 1/3 of my gross salary, so I consider them earned compensation.

I sincerely hope others are happy with her care. I am just not inclined to go back to her. Sorry to be negative, but you asked why not...besides, the drive to Lewiston is lovely, Joan is fabulous, and it doesn't require me to take a day off to drive an hour and a half. Take care, mae.

i'm sorry you had a bad experience with dr. moise. doesn't sound like her at all she is a superb diagnostician, and often goes out of her way with time and care. i know she often works from 6:30 am until 7 or 8 pm many nights. she is dedicated. i'm glad you are seeing a rheumatologist and hope you get good care. . . good luck with your pain control and keep losing!

best,

ma'lena

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
