Ok I am in the middle of a painful divorce at 26 years old! Anyway, I have turned to food as my friend again. After a big gain, I am back on the wagon. I am pretending I just got my band and am following all the "rules" and walking/running for 45 min a day and 12 situps and pushups. This will only be day 3 of the exercise but I have to start somewhere right?? Wish me luck....I need skinny vibes sent my way!!!

Sorry for your divorce...but I would think better at age 26 than after 26 years!

Hang in there; get another fill if you need to tweak it, and don't let this defeat you. good luck!

DIvorce is never, ever easy ... even if you find yourself at a place where it is the only choice open to you. It is complete upheaval in your daily life! You may be moved into a new place to live, you're living alone for the first time in a while, you don't have to think about anybody's needs but your own and you've given in to fast food, watching TV so that you don't have to think......every one of us who's been through a divorce knows where you are right now.

But you're back on track, working WITH your band instead of against it. It's okay to go where you've been mentally recently. It really is. Don't beat yourself up. It's a mourning process. But now it's time to move on.

Good luck

Healthy Vibes being sent your way - and tons of hugs - it will get better - maybe not today or tomorrow - but it will..

Keep up the good eating/exercise habits - it will help you feel in control of at least that much in your life...

I'm sorry things are rough right now. At least you are focusing on something productive and using your energy to get back on the band wagon. Like it was said before you have a whole family here, and we are here to support you! Good luck and keep your head up!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
