Frustrated about sending paperwork to Ins

Recommended Posts

Ok...I am new to all of this. I just had my surgeons visit last thursday and have all documents and records have been given to the surgeons office. I am anxious, as I sure many of us have been, to get this info to Tricare so that I may hear those magical words of "approval" for surgery. I just wander how long it takes for most offices to finally send the info out to the insurance compant so they can start their long process. At this point I can't even get a returned phone call from the office. Very frustrated and anxious.

Hey fireman,

Ahh I rember the same feelings, " are they doing there job" why dont i just send it in" whoc an i call and confirmt hey recieved fax" - you know what though keep in mind your doctors office wants you to get this done. not just because hes your doctor but guess what its still a business and they still want to get paid.

So trust that you went thru the steps and have some faith everyone will do what they have to do.

I was very proactive as well in making sure they recieved my faxes and my end of the paperwork but try and keep busy and when you hear "your approved" youll find other things to be anxious about.

Ha atleast i had. Im going to be banded on the 29th of June.

good luck!

Paula

I know how you feel because I have Tricare as well. My doc office was really fast about sending it to Tricare. My doc office got all my paperwork on Friday and sent it to Tricare on that Monday. I was approved by Tricare that same Thursday. I hope nothing but the best for you.... Jennifer

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
