I'm not feeling like I'm losing any weight and its really starting to get me down. I've just had my first fill (last week) and at 4cc I really thought I would drop the weight faster than the first few weeks but it hasn't. I've been having a bit of trouble with PB'ing (I know its cause I've been eating too fast and not chewing enough) but because of it, I know that I haven't been eating that much as it puts me off. Could this be a reason why? How many calories are we supposed to have during a day to consistently lose weight.

I haven't been doing too much excercise as such, but running around after a 4.5yr old and an 22 month old means I'm not sitting on my arse all day either. I'm starting BELLYdancing next week which will be awesome and give me that extra boost that I think I need....anywayz...anyone else feeling the same way at the moment?? I really just want to see results!

Probably around 1200 depending on your activity level. Try to get your Protein first then veggies followed by good carbs if still hungry. You should try not to go under 1000 cals. a day. Eating is a learning process, trial and error! It takes practice and time. With two small children, I'm sure it's difficult to take the time needed. You should set aside time when they are napping or in bed for the night perhaps so that you can take your time and concentrate on eating slowly and taking small bites and chewing really well! Good luck to you! You will do fine and it may take a few fills to get good restriction!!

I would say between 1100-1400 depending on what exactly you are doing with your exercise regime. Remember you need to make some time for your health in your day. Even if you have to do stairs, or jog in place, etc, your still moving. Be selfish if you have to. Belly dancing is a great form of exercise, I hope you enjoy it. Good luck, and chew slowly!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
