I actually bought the magic bullet. Best investment for this so far.

I don't even have a surgery date yet, but I've already bought the Magic Bullet. It's sitting in the box, unopened, waiting for me.

I got the magic bullet. And I've got all sorts of blenders, food processors, etc.

But I find that this is a much more convenient blender.

I only use it right now to blend my Protein supplement, my shakes, and my Protein smoothies during my liquid pre-op phase.

But it's a snap to use and clean and, best of all, it takes up VERY little footprint on my kitchen counter!

I always wanted a magic bullet. Those infomercials late at night really get to you! haha, it just looks so cool and fun to use.

I might just get one and use the pre-op diet as an excuse, haha.

I'll be the first in this forum to say I went against the magic bullet. I did look at them but I just could not see myself needing 17 pieces, so I bought a cusinart immersion stick blender. 2 pieces and just like the bullet it's an easy clean makes great Protein Shakes and purees. Takes up no space and is very heavy duty.

But for what it's worth I also have issues with clutter but we'll save that for my therapist

Jujuvee! Too funny!

Um, the "parts" are in my cabinet, like the rest of my glasses and dishes, when I'm not using them!

But I also considered the type of blender you have.

The thing is, I had one of those years ago, (or something similar) but I never used it that often. Now it's lost among the doodads somewhere in either my kitchen or my daughter's kitchen.

Ah well.

I got my Magic Bullet at Bed, Bath & Beyond. When you use their ubiquitous 20% off coupon, that brought the price down:wink2: !

I got 30% off mine (discount for having a Kohl's Charge Card), then an additional 15% (employee discount, work there part-time).

So I did pretty good. I think it was supposed to come with the recipe book, but mine wasn't in there.

That's a bummer, Holli! There was a book in with mine. I haven't been to their website (if they even have one) but I wonder if maybe they have something online?

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
