Jacks2009 0 Posted June 15, 2009 I have found this Greek Yogurt called Chobani. They are 6oz and have anywhere from 14 to 18 grams of Protein per every 6oz container. They taste good. the vanilla is great. The plain is ok but just sprinkle some cinnamon poweder on it and you are good to go. The carbs are low as well. The fruite ones have a higher sugar and carb count, but still have about 14 grams of protein. These have been a god send to me in getting all my protein in for the day as I was having a very hard time. They are a little expenisve at $1.59 each but you can get them on sale for about a $1.00 - A&P currently has them on sale this week. Stock up everyone and remember this is great to get in all your protein if you are tired of shakes.. two of these a day are about 200 calories total and any where from 30 to 40 grams of protein (for both snacks). Let me know if anyone has tried them and what you think. Also let me know after you try them what you think. I think we have a good find here with these Chobani Greek Yogurts!!! Have a great day!! Alexandra 55 Posted June 15, 2009 I love the various Greek yogurts and Chobani is a great new brand. Also good are Fage and Oikonos (sp?). I add a tsp of fruit preserves in exotic flavors and am a happy camper. I also recently discovered Rachel's brand cottage cheese with awesome flavors. In single-serve packages, no less! Blaze21 5 Posted June 15, 2009 I also eat chobani. I buy them at the BJs wholesale club for about $1 each(12 pack). It's a variety pack of blueberry, strawberry and peach. After my post op diet I was no longer a fan of yogurt, but I've recently rediscovered my taste for it.
Brandy~ 2 Posted June 15, 2009 I eat it once in a while... It gets too old if I eat it often. I just put a little bit of granola and some honey in/on it
Brandy~ 2 Posted June 15, 2009 Ahh forgot to add you can use it in place of sour cream, use it in shakes and smoothies, you can also add the sugar free pudding mixes or cheesecake flavors to give it a flavor when making smoothies out of it.
lindas0809 0 Posted June 15, 2009 I love greek yogurt - chobani is great. Also if you shop at Trader Joe's they have their own that I like. I get the pomegranate it's 100 calories a cup with 12 grams of protein(smaller cup than chobani).

IAmDoingItIn09 0 Posted June 19, 2009 (edited) The Greek Yogurts are great!! I love the pomegranate as well as the blueberry at Trader Joes. I am preop but am doing a low carb diet and one way I have increased my Protein is my adding Protein Powder to my greek yogurt (per my nutritionist). I add about 1/2 a package or scoop of Injury - Unflavored or Vanilla to my yogurt which only adds 40-50 calories but gives me 10 extra grams of protein so I am getting 22 grams in one cup! Plus it doesn't taste weird...just thought I would share . Edited June 19, 2009 by IAmDoingItIn09 spelling
