Hi everyone. I am considering Scottsdale Bariatric center. Can you all tell me your experiences there. Looks like all three of you had it done already. Please let me know how things went and how you liked the place and surgeons, office, etc. Also fills.

Thanks

Pickles

I had my surgery at Tempe New Day Surgery, it was all arranged by trueresults.com I had a very good experience. My first fill is on August 4th. This week I have been in Philadelphia for work and I must tell you, I have zero restriction. I have been eating who :cursing:knows, everything. Although, I must say I am eating less but goodness, I have fallen off the wagon. I hope to get back on in starting on Saturday. My fill is next week, I will let you know!

Hello, all of you Arizona bandsters. I live in Avondale, AZ. I getting banded on August 12, 09. I am so glad that there are so many of us from Arizona here. I went to Bridges Centre at St. Lukes Medical Center and Dr. Daniel Fang is my surgeon. I was referred by several of my friends to Bridges. I have been told by my Cadiac Spec. that Dr. Fang is the top doctor in AZ, that has performed more surgeries than any other doctor. The St. Luke Bridges Centre for Weight Management Program earned the Centre of Excellence Award by the Surgical Review Corporation (SRC). Hope this little tidbit of information will help someone that is looking to find a doctor.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
