Shrinking Violets Part 4

Recommended Posts

That sounds like my sisters "purple" streaks. Each time she gets in the pool they turn a light green color so then she has to go home and paint them purple again. Too funny.

I can't believe that she's already in middle school! She looks like such a little girl...

She'll be 11 in October! & Ev will be 15 in Nov! How time flies... & she *should* look happy in the pics... they were taken Sat. morning right after she found out that we were leasing Lady!

Michelle, she does look sooo happy.

I am not sick, just a runny nose!!! Feel fine!!

Pamela who got kicked out of BB? Do you know? Was I hearing things????

Blueberry banana bread sounds better than what it is. The best was the blueberry buckle. I have some more blueberries so I think I will make some more goodies for my customers.

Those pics are great Michelle, she is so cute!!!

Carson got his shots today, :)

They gave him baby Zantac for his reflux. Hope this helps with his recent inability to sleep at night.

I get a fill Wed, hopefully that helps with my recent inability to quit eating. FEH. I feel the band again though, just not restricted. This time will do it!!

I figured out how to get my Showtime & HBO on-demand to work (after all this time) and see they have new release movies on there. So excited, I'll be vegging out even more heh heh. About to go watch some new series Russell got into and wants me to give a try.. Defying Gravity.. some sci-fi that he says isn't all sci-fi'y. Mmhm.

Yup, the last place I looked was exactly where I found it. I had to move things out of my spare room for the nephew and I actually ended up putting the bible at the foot of my bed on my hope chest. So tonight I started the series on "Esther". I think I'm going to like it.

Had dinner out with the family, 20 of us!!! I had grandkids EVERYWHERE!!! Loved it!

Off to snuggle and spend time with my honey, who not only come and took me a very classy lunch, but had flowers delivered to me at work, to make my day better.....yep, gonna keep him!

Wow, I actually slept in till 7am. That felt nice.

Today hubby has an appointment with the Orthopeadic Doc. We are hoping that he doesn't need to have surgery. Keep your fingers crossed.

Pam, glad to have you back and sorry there was so much drama.

Suzie, I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Laura, I have a tiny bottle with dry formula inside and a bottle of Water in my diaper bag at all times. It has already saved me from unpleasant circumstances because when Ayla is hungry, she is HUNNNGGRRRYYY. I wonder if she gets that from me, lol.

Michelle, your dd is such a cutie and she does indeed look happy. These memories with the horse are sure to last her a lifetime. :0)

Haydee, I am going to have to read the Glass House if it is that good. I am always looking for new reading materials.

Kat, How many grandchildren are there?

Everyone else, I hope you had good weekends.

Hey Girls~

Michelle, Claire is a doll! She looks so grown up (I know you don't want to hear that). I hope the school year kick off is smooth for you. When do you start? I start the 31st w/ kids, but will be in Monday, and perhaps even this week. Hope things w/ dh are better. Make sure you make time to have the needed convo...don't let it simmer too long :)

Haydee, I saw a website on Lifetime called www.getmarried.com have you checked it out? I am sure you are up to your ears w/ websites but thought of you. Any word on the date?

Tracyk, did you get my text? HAHA...do you love it? I love that Jessie got kicked out...he is such a tool!

Jane, you were right! Someone got kicked out, although the HG thinks she quit. BB is saying she was kicked out...DRAMA...I love it!

Kat, so sorry I missed your birthday! Hope it was a great day! I have been too self absorbed and I am sorry to you and all the violets for that!

Terry, you hangin' in there? Can't imagine what you are going through, but I am here for you!

JudyJudyJudy, glad you are back! You finally getting some summer in? I am looking foward to fall!

Susie, I am sure he will love the clean sheets...men are funny that way.

Jenn, Tracyks, Laura,Heather love you girlies!

As for me...I am so glad to be home. Update on my bro is that it is over! They need to live together until spring (tax return) but he just can not take it anymore. I respect them for TRYING to stay together for the kids, but it is not always the best thing, especially if there is no respect there. Tough call and a tough time.

I went to the gym this morning but OMG I could barely do 15 min. My muscles around my knees were dying! Last week I did 11 min longer...so I have to build 'em back up again. I was sweating good and hard too, lol! I also did 85 crunches, 60 obliques (at 35 lbs) back and ass. Susanne had an appointment this am so we had to leave by 7.

We are getting our landscaping landscaped today! Then the doctor is coming to do a blood draw on Klausy at 2 (gonna be soooo freakin' hot).

Other than that...chillaxing and sucking the last few days/hours of enjoyment of summer vacay. Will probably go into work tomorrow for a few hours as well...and so it begins!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
