I had a fill two weeks ago that took me to 7 cc. I have lost 10 lbs. However I am constantly spitting up. I have been blaming myself because I eat too much. I just tried to eat a teaspoon of cantalope and it caused esophogeal spasms. I constantly am spitting up foam. My doc said "You gripe if you eat too much, you gripe if you can't eat enough. Can you swallow?" I said yes and he said I would be fine. I don't want to cause other problems by spitting up all the time. Any suggestions? I'm ready to go have some taken out. This is a pain.

Your doctor should be disciplined!!! What a jerk. It sounds like you need a small adjustment and he is neglecting you. I wish you luck assserting yourself or finding another doctor. I just went through it for 3 weeks and got a small unfill 2 days ago and feel like I got my life back. My PA probably thinks I am nuts, but I don't care, I know what I am living. Let us know how you do.

Hello everyone. I was banded on 12/2/2008 and Im doing great. Im down from 264 to 204 and loving it. I have had to get some un-fills after a fill. But you will find that comforatble fill for you and then you will be fine. You will go thru some ups and downs but just take day by day and be happy and BLESSED. I've started my weight loss journey blog page and would love for some of you to join and talk with me about your band and everyday life.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
