Just a little hint for the "poop" problem...I find that our typical high protien diet does not contain much Fiber at all. If you choose good dietary Fiber, this will drastically improve your bowel movements. Many people have it in their head that carbs are bad bad bad, in which many of them will slow down weightloss. This can be true, but carbs are divided into subgroups and "dietary fiber" is mostly insoluble fiber- which isn't included into net carbs. For example, if you eat a cracker that has 5 carbs total, but include 2 dietary fiber carbs- then it is only 3 net carbs. My point is choose your carbs wisely with high dietary fiber- this will help your "poop" problem and your wont absorb those carbs.

I normally start my day with a bowl of Kashi Go Lean Cereal..it has 13g protien and 10g dietary fiber then I eat it with a cup of Silk Light Soy Milk, which as 6g protien! So, my Breakfast has 19g protien, which falls under my doctors requirements and I get fiber...which makes me go within 1-2 hours!!! One more plus...its only 220 calories, including the milk!

As for the other issues you are experiencing...you really need to give this process time. It isn't over night & it will get better with fills. However, between now and then you really need to put in a lot of effort to continue to strive & loose weight. Good luck!!:ihih:

We have all gone through this same thing. It can take several fills before you feel any restriction, you should keep on top of it and make the follow ups with your Dr to get the extra fills. I have started to keep track of what I eat on sparkpeople.com and it's helped me a great deal. For a while I was eating less calories and my weight loss was slowing down, when I went onto sparkpeople it calculated more calories than what I was eating and since I've been monitoring it this way my weight loss has sped up a little. I even went in for a fill this week and they decided not to give me one since I am doing ok. I know a lot of people eat only 3 times a day, I actually eat about every 3 hours and I don't feel those hunger pains. Of course, when I'm home and bored my head is constantly telling my stomach to eat  so that is when my self control has to kick in, sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't. Your doing great so don't give up on your self, we are all here to help you out.

How did you feel when your Dr.s decided not to give you a fill (I read your small purple type at the bottom)

They really left it up to me. They didn't think I needed one since I have had a steady loss, so I decided to not get one at this time. I'll continue to weigh my self and if I see my loss slowing down or gaining I'll call them to get a fill. My surgeon does not believe in being too tight and has been very conservative with my fills. I only have 3.5 ccs in a 10 cc band. I can honestly say that I have had only 1 problem with being stuck and I think I probably didn't chew enough and the chicken was too dry. So as long as I continue to lose I am a happy bandster.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
