This is a good idea! I can fit into my favorite pair of jeans that I haven't been able to wear in 2 years, Tommy Hilfiger jeans that I only got to wear like twice! Also, I'm exercising every day as opposed to never! LOL. How about everyone else?

I've posted my NSV's on the "twenties page" but I had one this morning so I'll share. I'm currently wearing a pair of pants that have not fit this comfortably since I bought them last summer. I actually wore them to interview for my job with the top button open and my blouse untucked to cover it. They slid on no prob, buttoned and zippered like I wore them last week. They are a size 12. BUT Thats what I hate.... Every clothing company sizes differently.... these are NY & Co, But I'm still a 14 in Old navy jeans. But hell, I'm wearing a size 12 dress pants!!!! WOOOOOO HOOOOO!!! :ihih::eek::eek:

The other day I went walking, and walked about 3 miles without my knees popping out of place or getting very stiff. I also put on a pair of jeans that I keep in my "Skinny" drawer (my drawer full of all my fav jeans, shorts, and tank tops I cant fit but refused to get rid of!!)...they arent skinny...they are an 18....but coming from 22W..I was really excited!

My rings are getting looser! And I can wear jeans that I've had in my closet for 6+ months that were too tight. :) Now, if I can just get into the two pair of cute capris that I bought off the rack (didn't try on) that still have the tags on from 2 summers ago.....:)

I went shopping over the weekend for some summer tops. I tried on the size I usually wear and they were all too big for me! I officially went down a size in shirts, heck even those were a little loose! I was thrilled!

Wow, congrats to all of us! :) This is a great thread because so often we get totally wrapped up in what the number on the scale is, and we forget to look at the other victories we have achieved. Hooray! :)

I'm wearing a size 18 top today.

I had to scoot my seat up in the car.

My wide-with shoes feel too big.

My wedding ring is not only back on my finger, but it's spinning around.

I booked a business trip for next week and I feel NO anxiety about getting on the plane.

My knee isn't failing me when I push it on the treadmill.

My GLASSES feel too big. LOL

(Just for full disclosure, my weight loss thus far has all been pre-op. Go figure! LOL)

Linda, You just reminded me, my glasses had to be resized last week too. They were falling off of my face when I looked down. My bras are too large as well. This is such a good feeling. GB

Coworkers who have no idea I've been dieting (let alone been banded) have been complimenting me on losing weight and looking good! That makes me feel awesome.

Also, men are starting to look at me, say hi, give me the eye, etc. One even tipped his hat and gave me the eye. lol Funny thing is, I've been this weight before and didn't get that. I really think it's because this time I'm smiling so much more. I just feel great about myself and how I'm changing my life. So, I guess confidence really does make a difference. Must show in my face. :sneaky:

Just being able to walk up the stairs to my apartment without feeling like my chest is going to cave in. Not hearing my twins telling me to come on mom is also great.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
