this is agreat and informative sight. You will find more information on this sight than in the doctors office People who have been through the LB surgery know alot of answers to questions you have and some questions you didn t even know you have. In the short time I m using it has been very informative about pre op and post op. Good Luck and I hope you will enjoy success.

I love lapband talk but wondered about the realize band site that tracks your progress.

I use the Realize site to track my progress and I watched videos while I was prepping for surgery. I don't know that I use all of the features, but I don't use that level of structure, honestly. If you want an online food/exercise journal, have a great time!

I like the feature that tracks your fill progress, but my doctor's office doesn't use the survey that comes with it. Sad.

It's got good recipes and stuff too if you're curious!

I was banded on May 27. I will see my surgeon on June 15, and my primary care doctor on June 10. Still on the liquid diet, and tomorrow will be the first time I have been on a scale since surgery day.

I got the realize band because of the web site. I have not registered yet. My surgeon did not provide the 9-digit number for pre-surgery registration and I will be calling this week to get signed up using the 12-digit number on my card.

Looking forward to some good recipes on the site. I am still on the liquid diet and I have had an excellent variety of Soups, both home made and store bought. If you have access to Trader Joe's, mixing their essential greens smoothie with carrot juice makes for a highly nutrional drink.

I had my surgery on May 1st and started using the site as of June 1st. IT's FANTASTIC. I like that I can log all my food and my workouts and it will give me the break down of food eaten vs. calories used. I also like that it counts Protein for me so I always get the right amount. I love the My Pics and the New Me. I choose my starting weight and my current weight with their diagram and even though I've only lost 18.5 lbs. I can really see the difference.

Anyone using this site? If so what do you think?

I was banded on 4/30 and chose the Realize Band due to the helpful website. I don't find it very handy when trying to log food, as I usually can't find the food I am looking for...ugh!

I read about The Daily Plate on Livestrong.com and have been using it since. You can track your food (I've yet to eat something that hasn't been on the list and it tracks calories, fat and your protein!) and track your weight. I haven't been back to Realize My Success at all since finding this other website.

I really like the website and I feel it has been a good aid in this journey. Lately though it seems excruciatingly slow to log in

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
