edel 0 Posted June 8, 2009 I have had a big wake up call today. I thought that i just couldn't get this band to work for me. Today i want onto Daily Plate after hearing about it on this site and im totally shocked. Im only half way through the day and ive eaten nearly 900 cal already. I have to say this is really encouraging that i would have thought i haven't eaten much so i wouldn't think too much about what i eat later - but omg im shocked. Who ever i read this from thank you its a great tool and id recommend everyone struggling should give it a go ud be surprised.:thumbup:
di1138 8 Posted June 8, 2009 I use daily plate also. It has saved me big time from making huge mistakes. Sometimes we think because something is low fat or low sugar it is low calorie. Unfortunately that is not true. I log my calories first thing in the morning then go back as I make some changes. Between it and the band I have, so far, been successful. Good luck and keep up the good work.

tutornmom 1 Posted June 13, 2009 It has really helped me to hold myself accountable instead of depending on the band completely. I like to log everything throughout the day but I make sure I get it done before supper and evening Snacks to be sure how many calories I still have. I also enter my exercise to see how many calories I burn with it and on long workout days like today, I make sure I am getting the essential calories I need to keep the fat burning. heartfire 4 Posted June 19, 2009 edel, it might have been me, tho not sure. I know we were talking about it on another thread at one point. It has become vital to log my food on dailyplate. I can't NOT do it! My problem has been grabbing whatever when getting DD food. Or walking by her plate/bowl of whatever and taking some to pop in to my mouth. It truly adds up! It is SO shocking! The other day I grabbed one of her triscuit crackers. Well, a serving is 6 crackers and 120 calories! Well, I just, without thinking, had 1/6 of a serving! That cracker cost me 20 calories!!!!! I also will log stuff in first, then go eat it. Making adjustments later if I need too. Keeps me on a better track and without getting carried away with, say, cheese, only to have to "pay" for it later. Good for you for figuring out what was going on with your process and making the necessary changes to fix it!
