I am just starting my journey with the Band and I would appreciate any suggestions on best Protein Drink and anything else you can think of. I have been working out 4 days a week and practicing chewing my food 20-30 times.

Hi there

Welcome to the forums, have you already been banded or are you preparing for the surgery?

Your surgeon should have recommended a Protein Shake for you - mine has recommended Optifast, but I haven't commenced using it yet as I still have a while to wait until my surgery.

Oh man, you make me laugh some days... I did the same the other day with some rice, and it was FOUL - the texture became puke-worthy.

Too funny, I have not been banded yet but I too have practiced chewing. Several people in my life have had the surgery and mentioned chewing a lot longer and said it helps. I still have to complete 1 more appointment and then we see if my insurance will approve me.
