RaceGirl88 0 Posted June 24, 2009 I'm getting excited! One week from today is the big day! Can't think of a better way to start the month...I am a week into the liquid preop diet and am down 9 lbs as of this morning, but have definitely discovered that my energy levels are awful in this phase and to be perfectly honest, havent done any cardio whatsoever. Just a little strength/resistance training...anyone else on liquids feeling drained?
bobbiezhere 0 Posted June 24, 2009 I hear you! I just started my pre op yesterday...and im all about headaches (last night and this morning) and no energy at all.... But I get banded on 7/7 and i can hardly wait! I view this as all temporary - its bound to get better. So many different pre op menus..mine is totally strict. Purely protein--and liquids...no milk products...every one of these is soooo different!
bashful1269 5 Posted June 25, 2009 I am being banded July 22nd! I'm so excited, and nervous and all of the emotions that go along with it. I told my boss today, I was so scared he was going to be mad at me for having to miss work, I just got my hand out of a cast and I was a little worried that he would be mad, but he was really supportive and excited for me. He's is by far the best and most understanding boss I've ever had, simply amazing. I have preop appointments on the 8th and 14th, I only have a 10 day diet, I did medifast for three months last year so, I'm sure I can handle it. One of my biggest fears like many on this post is sugar, I'm addicted to the stuff. I keep telling myself I'm allergic, but still having problems. I've heard the craving goes away after being away from it for a while...I PRAY this is true! Good luck to all of you!! If anyone is having it done around the Columbia MO area send me a message maybe we can be support buddies.
banded2bethin 0 Posted June 26, 2009 I'm a July24th Bander! Paying for it myself, so I think I am most worried about paying it off and the post-op diet.

Yes, I am preoccupied and not focusing on work as I need to or anything else. I actually lost my flight confirmation number and had to call the airline today to get it. Duhhhhh. I'll be leaving in 2 days and going under the knife in 3 (if all goes well). Oh boy!! I'm a bit nervous. :rolleyes2:
ColleenW 0 Posted June 30, 2009 Hi. I have my insurance approval and my surgery is July 23rd. My doctoc doesn't require a pre-op diet.

scottishlassywsp 0 Posted June 30, 2009 i really hope so. all my preops are done. paperwork goes in within the next few days and I wait for insurance (tricare) approval. The plan is for a July surgery date once we get approval. Tricare usually gives a quick decision. I hope i am a July bandster with you!!!! -kat I have Tricare also. My surgery is July 13th and I can't wait. This is one of the MANY times I have been happy to have Tricare.
RaceGirl88 0 Posted July 2, 2009 Hi everyone! Well, I had surgery yesterday and everything went wonderfully! I lost 14 lbs during 2 week preop diet and that's a good start. Today I am in no pain and am sore, just feeling like I've done a ton of ab work. :tongue2:. No gas pains or anything. Can't tell about incisions yet, as the gauze is still on...but overall, I couldn't have asked for a better experience! Today I have been soooo thirsty but am limited to 4 ounces of Clear Liquids per hour...and that's not quencing my thirst! So if that's the biggest gripe, then I consider myself blessed!
