I was banded in Jan 04 - still hard to believe it has been that long - I have lost 166 lbs - I was trying to responsd to a post but it required me to sign up and once I did I couldn't find the post anymore - Getting the lap band was one of the best things I have ever done -

Thanks for posting. It is rare to hear from someone who has had the band for a while and often people post wanting to hear from the long timers. Glad to hear about your great success. Congrats on quite an achievement!

Thats great!!! it's good to hear from a person going 5 yrs strong that has done so well so far, it gives me hope in my long journey thats just beginning.

WOW that is wonderful, you inspire me as I was just banded last week and have quite a ways to go, all told about 140-150 lbs. You give me hope that I can do it too. Thanks for posting.
