Friday Morning Weigh-In, June 5, 2009

Recommended Posts

It's Friday again! I'll get us started.

Last week: 227.8

This week: 227.0

Loss: 0.8 lbs

Almost a pound. I was hoping for more, but a loss is a loss. I'm still not eating as many calories as The Daily Plate recommends for my goal of losing 2 pounds a week. I think I'm going to experiment this week with adding another 100-200 calories a day. I'll still be at least 50 below their recommendation. It's kind of mind-boggling that I could lose more by eating more, but it worked when I started TDP. Stay tuned for results!

Last Friday: 202.5 lbs

This morning: 201 lbs

Down anther 1.5 lbs. 200 lbs is getting closer and almost within reach. Yesterday morning I got on scale and it read 200! I went to grab the camera and when I got back on to take the picture it read 201. It's a cruel cruel scale!

I hate scales! LOL!

I'm UP 1.1 darnit! I'm getting really sick of the low 180s! I'm feeling yucky, tired and bloated {sorry guys!} so I'm probably PMS'ing even tho I'm on Depo. I hope.

Hopes for better next week.

Have a wonderful week everyone!

Hi all,

Down a couple of pounds this week finally! I have 9 pounds to meet my 7/4/09 goal. It is going to be hard but I will probably get a fill on the 16th so that will help!

NSV - I saw a bunch of family yesterday that I haven't seen in a while and they all noticed! YEAH! Also, I ran 4 miles in under an hour this morning and it is getting easier. The Rocket City Marathon is in sight!

179.5 last week, 177.4 this week = 2.1 loss for me. I'll take it. I seem to be right on track all of a sudden for meeting or exceeding my July 4th and Bandiversery goals. Woo-Hoo!!:blushing:

I had a gain of about a pound and I suspect that it is Water weight for eating out. I was in Savannah on business and made ok choices, but eating out always has so much sodium. Trying to drink lots of Water and getting back to my running/walking.

My next challenge will be at the beach next weekend. There will be a lot of drinking:blush: and eating :blushing:.

Enjoy the weekend everyone.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
