Hi everyone,

I have a question regarding port location please help. I have read many posting about the port being located under the breast by the bra line. However my port is much lower under right breast between mid section & belly button more towards the right. I have the realize band. I am tall 5'11. Just wondering if anyone else has the port lower than bra line?

It sounds as if my port is located similar to where yours is, except towards the left a little more. I think the location really depends on the surgeon.

Mine is perfectly located (so far) between bra line and the navel slightly to the right. Not in the way or under belt or bra line.

Mine is a realize band and the port is located just above the waistline on the left side.

My 'porthole' is WAY lower than that- it's about 2 inches North East of my belly button. (Or South West, if I'm looking down at it!)

It's cool- a little too high to worry about waistbands pressing on it, but easy to get access to once my fills start.

Mine is on the left, about 3-4 inches above my waist, but just slightly to the left of my midline. It's in a good place when I'm standing. But when I sit, there's still a roll there and it tends to bump against stuff... lol. I can feel it quite prominently and asked my surgeon about it and he said that as I lose weight it will settle into my abdomen, that he has never seen one visible to the naked eye on a skinny bandster. Whew!

Yes it is kind of surgeons choice, my doctor said many use it is their kind of signature so mine is on the right midway between my belt line and bra line, which is great, nothing hits it.

Mine is exactly 4 inches directly above my belly button. I don’t have a bra line, so I guess that part is irrelevant.

I find that when I am walking I inadvertently poke it with my finger just to feel it. Sort of they way a pregnant lady rubs her belly, does anybody else do that:unsure:?

I do it too, and it looks like I'm pushing my boobs up for glamour. Mine unfortunatly is below the bra line, and it Hurts like a MOFO when my underwire rubs against it.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
