I hit 7-11 with the kids. It was hot and they wanted to get their snack on..and so did I.

Depression kicked in after I scanned the drink selections. Nothing that is both sugar-free and non carbinated. I felt discriminated against! There was some Fat-free for the suckers that think Fat makes you fat (opposed to calories)... not nodda sugar free.< /p>

THEN...and I had to re-read it 2 or 3 times...I saw one of the choices on the slurrpy machine was Sugar-free Crystall Light Slurrpies!

It was amazing and the highlight of my day! Not only did I find something at 7-11 but it was wonderful.

going back today. :(

I love the crystal lite slurpies! I think they are the best ones and just a bonus they are ok to drink!

There went my Monday. Well, I dicovered all these new self serve yogart places..they all have at least 1 sugar free flavor. So thats pretty cool. 80 calories for a half cup..Yogert Factoy, Beach Berries, etc etc.

I saw on food Network that Icee's are carbonated!! Who would have thought??

Yeah, unfortunately they are carbonated. That's why they "fluff" up in your cup. My local snow cone stand (shaved ice) has several sugar free syrups. they are pretty good on a hot day. Why doesn't Sonic have a sugar free slush?!?

only thing i would be careful with with those is that they are loaded with sorbitol which i know made me really sick. i know some people have a bad reaction to that.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
