How important is drinking 64 ounces of Water a day to losing weight - I am not losing at all but admit to not drinking water - almost never - drink unsweetened tea during the day but not water - is it that important to losing? Thanks.

Drinking Water is extremely important to your weight loss success. Tea is a diuretic, which will help flush excess water out of your body. However, if you are not taking enough in you could become dehydrated. Plus drinking the 8 glasses helps with appetite control.

IMO, and I know many might disagree, tea is pretty much Water. As long as it's not saturated with sugar (and you already said you're drinking unsweetened), I think you're fine. Because tea is a diuretic, it may actually increase your water need, so you might wanna drink even more than the reccommended 64 ounces. The only thing you might wanna watch is your caffeine consumption, if you care to.

wow your weight loss is amazing. How many calories are you taking in? Also are you exercising, if so what kind? I was just banded last week so you inspire me.

I drink about 96oz of water/crystal light a day. I exercise everyday....3 days a week I see a personal trainer for about 1 1/2 to 2 hour training sessions...the other four days I walk/jog 3-5 miles a day. I don't count calories, I try to eat clean, and eat small meals every three hours...which my dr totally recommends!:(

I can (and have) downed buckets of unsweetened tea (no lemon) daily and not lost as well as I do when i make SURE I get 64 oz of Water a day. My band restriction is more consistent, my skin is looking better (which i thought was just a bunch of bunk propogated by pro-water anti-tea people LOL) and so on. I've become a water convert. I still drink my tea, but only after I get my 64 oz of water in each day.

There is no scientific study, research or evidence that we need to drink 64 oz of Water a day whether we are trying to lose weight or not. That 64 oz figure has no medical basis. It just popped up and now everyone seems to adopt it without knowing how it came about. We get fluids from foods, too. That being said there are many on here who swear by their water consumption helping them to feel satisfied longer and not as hungry. If it works for them, great. But don't feel bad if you can't get the 64 oz in. And all our fluids don't have to be water, either. If you like tea, try crystal lite Decaf iced tea with lemon.

I will say this...when I was 16 I got a bladder infection. I always drank tea (even then) never Water. It hurt like the DEVIL! Our family doc told me If I would make sure to drink at least a few glasses of plain water each day I'd never get another. He said beverages leave sediment

I have no idea if they do or if the science has evolved but I can tell you I'm 54 now and have NEVER had another bladder infection by drinking some water each day. So I agree we don't really need 64 oz, I think drinking some is good for you.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
