Nimits 0 Posted May 30, 2009 I AM MISERABLE!!!!! I just received a fill last Saturday, 7 days ago. I believe I am too tight! I can not even drink water...I throw up anything any everthing. Water, ice pops, broth. I called to make arrangements to have the band loosened but the doc is out of town this weekend. I am so frustrated and I am considering doing the adjustment myself! I do not want to damage the band but I just can't see dealing with another 2-3 days of this!!!!! Has anyone considered this, or better yet done it with out any negative consequences? OnTheWay to Thin 0 Posted May 30, 2009 Good lord, dont even think about it that is way way over a paitients head! You will damage yourself and your band. Not worth it. Call your surgeons office, ask to speak to his PA or his nurse, tell them what is going on and ask what to do. Good luck.
Cleo's Mom 257 Posted May 30, 2009 If there is no one from your doctor's office who can do an unfill, go to the ER. You can become seriously dehydrated if you are not able to keep any liquids down. It would be irresponsible of your doctor to be out of town and not have another doctor on call for his patients should they (like you) need emergency care. Good luck. Yes this! Did you tell them that you needed to come in for an adjustment or that you were too tight? I know many (I guess most) will MAKE time for you that day if you're too tight because its dangerous to stay that way.

Yes, Kat817 knows someone who has given themselves adjustments and has been in and out of ICU for the last few weeks. She now has a staph infection in her blood. So NO, do not even THINK about it. plain 12 Posted June 5, 2009 Seeing as how Nimits made just the one post, logged off, and has not even been on the board again, I'm going to go ahead and say this is probably a troll post. At the very least, it doesn't appear the desperation level was high enough for Mimits to read the responses.
